Zendaya is set to star in a new science-fiction film from Alex Garland at A24, bringing together one of Hollywood's most in-demand actors with the director behind Ex Machina, Annihilation and Civil War.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, in keeping with Garland's habit of revealing as little as possible before release. What is known is that the project continues A24's run of pairing prestige filmmakers with major stars, a strategy that has turned the studio into one of the most reliable homes for ambitious genre cinema.
For Zendaya, the film adds another auteur collaboration to a slate that already includes work with Denis Villeneuve, Luca Guadagnino and Sam Levinson.
