'Practical Magic 2' Trailer Released: The Owens Witches Face Down the Curse
Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman return as the Owens sisters in the sequel to the cult classic. The new trailer reveals the family's younger generation setting out to break a deadly love curse.

As Sandra Bullock says in the 'Practical Magic 2' trailer, "That's the thing about magic — it can't be silenced." The latest trailer for the sequel to the '90s cult classic is full of magic, but it also shows the Owens sisters aren't always ready for what comes with it — especially Bullock's character, Sally.
Directed by Susanne Bier and adapted from Alice Hoffman's 2021 novel 'The Book of Magic,' the film reunites us with Owens sisters Sally (Sandra Bullock) and Gillian (Nicole Kidman). The two remain opposites: Sally is a devoted mother who bakes wonderful pies and steers clear of men, while Gillian is still swiping through Tinder looking for a match. Aunts Jet (Dianne Wiest) and Frances (Stockard Channing) also return with their sage advice.
But the real chaos begins when the new generation of the Owens family — Sally's daughters — take the stage. Joey King's Kylie Owens asks her sister (Maisie Williams), "Remember when Mom used to tell us those stories about everyone who falls in love dying?" After the man Kylie is presumed to be dating gets into a car accident, the sisters realize the stories might be true, and they set off on a journey to "fix the curse."
Of course, Sally and Gillian chase after the girls and end up in London, where they seek help from a new character played by Lee Pace. Promising a story that blends family drama, magic, and adventure, the trailer aims to please fans of the original while adding a new chapter to the legend.
