Looking back, we never had a clear expectation of how Jason Momoa's Blanka would look in the live-action 'Street Fighter' movie. The design of the electricity-wielding green mutant from the games is so inhuman that whether you try to render it with practical effects or CGI, the result inevitably comes out a bit strange.

Now we have our clearest look yet at the character, thanks to a new clip of him fighting Andrew Koji's Ryu. The pair face off in what looks like a dimly lit prison cage fight, with the darkness of the scene helping this version of Blanka resemble a child's sleep-paralysis creature.

The film's cast has been unconventional from the start, with names ranging from rapper 50 Cent to internet personalities playing the quirky characters from Capcom's fighting game franchise. Momoa is one of the biggest names in the cast, and even though the visual is unsettling, the actor seems fully committed to the role.

'Street Fighter' opens in theaters October 16. Despite its large ensemble cast, the fractured friendship between Ryu and Ken appears to be at the film's center.
