'House of David' Renewed for Season 3 by Prime Video
Wonder Project's 'House of David' has been extended for a third season on Prime Video. The new season will cover the exile chapter of David's journey from shepherd boy to warrior to king on the throne.
Amazon Prime Video has renewed Wonder Project's 'House of David' for a third season. Creators and lead producers Jon Erwin and Jon Gunn say they're grateful for the millions of viewers who have embraced the show, and that the third season will cover one of the most defining chapters of David's life: his years of exile before the throne.
Synopsis. In the third season, David completes his journey "from an outcast shepherd, to a hardened warrior, to the crown that is his inevitable destiny." But before the throne comes exile: David becomes a fugitive forced to hide among his enemies. The season will center on the true price of destiny, betrayals, abandoned identities, and the sacrifices a hero makes before rising.
Cast. Michael Iskander (David), Ali Suliman (King Saul), Ayelet Zurer (Queen Ahinoam), and Stephen Lang (Samuel) all return. Indy Lewis, Yali Topol Margalith, Ethan Kai, Sam Otto, Oded Fehr, Louis Ferreira, Davood Ghadami, Ashraf Barhom, and Alexander Uloom also round out the cast.
Producer statement. Wonder Project CEO Kelly Merryman Hoogstraten says, "Our goal is to build franchises around resilient, inspiring universal stories," while Amazon MGM Studios drama chief Kara Smith highlights the show's global success and its balance of "breathtaking scale and emotional authenticity."
